Adding Thumbnails to Content Items
To provide additional context to your items and simplify navigation, you can add custom thumbnails to your content items. These thumbnails might be created from any image files on your machine. You can also create thumbnails from the image files that can be found in your repository.
There are two types of thumbnails in WebFOCUS:
Assigning Tags to Content Items
To refine a search for content within a workspace or folder in your repository, you can assign tags to content items. These tags provide additional search criteria that you can use to identify related content items quickly. Tags are turned off by default and display as a column in the list view.
Using Keyboard Shortcuts
You can use keyboard shortcuts to perform the common actions shown in the following table.
Converting an Existing WebFOCUS Installation to the Golden Key Configuration
In Release 8207.27.0, the new Golden Key license replaces the legacy License Key as the default product license. The Golden Key license is assigned to new product installations automatically, and the installation procedures do not prompt for a license key.
This new license policy is actually a lack of keys for features that previously required them. This also means there is no longer a differentiation between a Full Function Server, a WebFOCUS Server, and a Data Migrator Server.
Configuring WebFOCUS Help
As of Release 8207.26, WebFOCUS Help is configured, by default, to use Online Help that is hosted by our servers. This Help configuration is applied for new installations or when upgrading from an earlier release. The installation package no longer includes the help files, which greatly reduces the installation file size and time required to install and configure the software.
Benefits include:
Embedded Business Intelligence User's Guide PDF
The Embedded Business Intelligence User's Guide introduces TIBCO WebFOCUS® embedded business intelligence (BI) and includes comprehensive content on RESTful Web Services for developers and Open Portal Services, which are key components in embedded BI solutions.
