Problem

Creating a synonym for Oracle hangs when selecting the Schema drop-down.

Solution

The issue is within Oracle. The query that generates the list of potential schemas takes a long time to complete and the process must wait.

This behavior was reproduced outside of the Reporting Server's Oracle adapter, so there is no issue with the adapter or the Create Synonym process.
