Data Management Console options are not persisting

Problem

When customizing the heading bar for the object explorer within the Data Management Console, the options selected does not persist after closing and reopening the Data Management Console.

Solution

The EDACONF(default=c:\ibi\client82\dm) should be writable by the user. This specific issue was due to the user not having the write ability to the etlg.cfg file which by default is in the following location: c:\ibi\client82\dm\etc
