How to install the Db2 Extender or Db2 Connector.

Solution

The Db2 Extender is also referred to as the Db2 Connector. For information on installing the Db2 Extender or Db2 Connector, refer to the iWay Extender for Db2 manual. This manual is still valid because the installation, and functionality has changed very little. One change is the availability of long character column support in release 7.707M/8.2M.



First, download and install a WebFOCUS Reporting Server following the PDS Deployment instructions. This will create the necessary datasets for the Db2 Extender installation, specifically:



    hlq..HOME.DATA

    hlq..P.HOME.LOAD
