How to overcome refused to display 'X-Frame-Options' to 'sameorigin' error

Symptom

Refused to display “https://host_server_name:8443/ibi_apps/WFServlet' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'

Problem

The user receives the above error message when running a report.

Solution

The error occurs when the X-FRAME is not configured in WebFOCUS. 



Here are the steps to configure the setting in WebFOCUS 8.2:



    
	
  1. Access the Administration console.
    2. 
	
  2. Go to Security and select Security Zones, Default, and Authentication.
    3. 
	
  3. Select Cross-Origin Settings.
    4. 
	
  4. Link in the Actions group located in the panel on the right.
    5. 
	
  5. Check Allow Embedding and specify the Allowed Origins location, if it applies.
    6. 




The setting and its location may vary depending on the WebFOCUS release.
