How to prevent PTH provider password from expiring.

Solution

Here are the steps to disable the password expiration for a single user:



    
	
  1. Access the Access Control on the Reporting Server Web Console.
    2. 
	
  2. Select Manage users/groups.
    3. 
	
  3. Right-click on the PTH provider.
    4. 
	
  4. Select the user and click Properties.
    5. 
	
  5. Check the checkbox for Password Never Expires.
    6. 
	
  6. Click OK then SAVE at the bottom of the screen.
    7. 




If you do not want the password for any PTH users to expire:



    
	
  1. Right-click on the PTH provider.
    2. 
	
  2. Click properties.
    3. 
	
  3. Look for the field PTHPASS_LIFETIME.
    4. 
	
  4. Change the value to a zero.
    5. 
	
  5. Save and restart the Reporting Server. 
    6.
