How to upload an Excel file in release 8205.

Solution

To upload an Excel file, create a synonym using the Direct Excel adapter or the Delimited Files (CSV/TAB) adapters will invoke the same functionality.  It will import the .xls file and create a synonym for it. The files and synonyms are placed into foccache/upload at which point you can move them to the desired folder.
