Migrating Oracle connections between edasprof files, Server Console does not show Oracle connections

Problem

After migrating the Oracle connections from one Reporting Server's edasprof.prf file to another (ENGINE SQLORA connections), the Server Console does not show any Oracle connections.

Solution

The Oracle adapter was not added to the target server first. A dummy Oracle connection should be added first and then you can copy the valid connections to the new server. The dummy connection can then be removed.
