Problem

The WebFOCUS Reporting Server allows for the use of an external repository on a SQL adapter to create an application mapping. When such a mapping is configured, is it possible to have APPROOT point to the SQL repository?

When you create a new Reporting Server Application, by default it is created as a directory in APPROOT. Is it possible to specify the default method is to create new applications in the SQL repository?

Solution

APPROOT cannot be reassigned to the SQL repository. To create a new application in the SQL repository, it must be explicitly stated when creating it.
