Starting App Studio results in a Windows message: Server Busy

Symptom

This action cannot be completed because the program is not responding. Choose "Switch To" and correct the problem

Problem

The user receives the error message above when starting App Studio and a Windows message stating “Server Busy”.

Solution

The Windows message (Server busy) is a result of multiple servers running at the same time.

Refer to "Server busy" "This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch to' to activate the other busy program and correct the problem" for more information and solution to the message.

Also, if different versions of App Studio are used, be sure to run the thisfoci.bat file for the App Studio release you wish to start. The thisfoci.bat file is located in the following folder:   [drive]:\ibi\AppStudio82\bin.

Running the file before starting App Studio ensures the corresponding binary files for the release are registered and are not using a hybrid of a different App Studio release.
