Symptom
(ICM19000) The HFS edahome_dir etc/app_templates/... portion of tree not installed/found under HFS, all tutorials disallowed
Problem
The user is on a PDS Deployed Reporting Server Web Console and trying to create the Tutorials. A message is displayed indicating that it was successful, but the destination application folder does not contain the expected files.
The error message above is identified in a trace.
Solution
As part of the installation, the Java functionality requires two HFS directories, even with PDS deployment, and these directories are necessary for tutorials as well. The directories are:
- edahome_dir
- edaconf_dir
The Server's installation manual says on page 209: “If edahome_dir is not defined at installation time, it will not be possible to configure it later using the Web Console. The server will have to be re-installed, configuring the JSCOM3 listener."
Necessary files are loaded into these directories as part of the installation process For additional information, refer to HFS Home and Configuration Directory Requirements.
Reinstall the Reporting Server and select the Java feature. Or, if there are edaconf_dir/edahome_dir directories from another environment, the contents may be copied, specifically the following:
