User receives an error attempting to upload Data using the Upload Raw Data option

Problem

The user receives the error message above when attempting to upload a Data using the Upload Raw Data option under NEW and dragging and dropping the file.

Solution

By default, the upload utility is configured to upload the following data types (file extensions):



html, htm, css, xml, txt, dat, ftm, wp, gif, jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, svg, pdf, zip, csv, tsv, tab, docx, doc, ppt, pptx, xls, xlsx, and json



Here are the steps to address this issue:



    
	
  1. Access your Web Console.

  2. Go to Workspace, Workspace Sets, and Application Settings.

  3. In the Upload_Allowed field, add the extension of the data file to the list.
