Symptom

(FOC45640) Request Failed. HTTP Status : 500 Internal Server Error Reason: Internal Server Error

Problem

The user receives the error message above reporting off of Odata with a multi-segment Master File.

Solution

The connection did not have a setting checked that is required when creating a synonym that generates a multi segment Master File for Odata.

Within the adapter connection properties, place a check next to the following setting under the Advanced connection options: Select with Expand
