Symptom

(FOC1262) NATIVE ERROR MESSAGE(S) :

(FOC1500) : (0) [08001] CLIENT_PLUGIN_AUTH is required

(FOC1500) : java.sql.SQLNonTransientConnectionException: CLIENT_PLUGIN_AUTH is required

Problem

The user receives the error messages above while testing a MySQL adapter.

Solution

This is a new implementation of the adapter with a 5.x RDBMS and an 8x jar file. Using a 5.x jar file resolved the issue.
