Assigning Customized Logos to Tenant Workspaces

The symbolic path defined in the Custom Theme CSS field of the centralized portal redirects the call for a theme to a customized CSS theme file in the workspace of the user who issued the request to run the portal. In turn, the customized CSS theme file includes a property that identifies the logo to use for the tenant workspace.

This two-stage link enables users to overcome the limitation of the variable file path that can only call a single file, and ensures that the appropriate logo and theme are called for when users open the portal.

Understanding the Configuration Requirements for Collaborative Portals That Use Multiple Themes or Logos

The configuration of a Collaborative Portal that supports multiple SaaS Tenant groups with varying themes and logos is a multiphase process that requires the creation of tenant workspaces for each tenant group and a separate workspace for the content portal.

As a best practice, we recommend that you use the following workflow when creating a Multi-SaaS Tenant portal using symbolic IBFS paths.

Navigating the Home Page on a Mobile App

The Home Page is the default landing page that opens when you first sign in to WebFOCUS from the WebFOCUS app, as shown in the following image.

The Home Page serves as a centralized place for viewing and sharing content, and performing searches. There are several interface and functionality changes that occur when you navigate the Home Page on the WebFOCUS mobile app, allowing you to view the content saved in your environment.

Configuring the Mobile App

To download WebFOCUS mobile app on an iOS device, simply type webfocus in the search field in the App Store and choose the WebFOCUS app.

On an Android™-based device, connect to the Google Play store, navigate to the WebFOCUS mobile app, and tap Install.

Once the app is installed on your device, you can start configuring a connection to your WebFOCUS environment.

Prerequisites to Using the WebFOCUS Mobile App

To perform online analytics, you must connect to the Wifi network that your company uses or configure a VPN connection on a remote device.

Video: How to Create Statistical Box Plots

A box plot is a type of chart that shows multiple standard distribution metrics for a data set. They show outliers, the maximum and minimum values with outliers excluded, the upper and lower quartile, and the median, allowing you to quickly analyze the spread and skew of your data values.

Selecting a Data Source

To create a new visualization, such as a chart or report, you must first select a data source. This data source provides the fields and values that display in your content. It can be either a Master File, which is a data source description that allows you to structure the fields in a database or flat file into a more logical structure, or it can be a Reporting Object, which allows you to enhance a Master File with additional filters, default content items, and pre- and post-processing code.

Creating Streamgraphs

A streamgraph is a simplified area chart. It does not show labels for measure values, but makes it easy to identify trends for different dimension values over time. An example of a streamgraph is shown in the following image.

The following display options are available for a streamgraph:

Creating Tag Clouds

A tag cloud allows you to see the most frequent or largest values in a dimension field based on the size and color of the text, making it easy to identify the most important values. An example of a tag cloud is shown in the following image.
