Video: How to Create a Report in InfoAssist

Today, we will show you how to create a report using InfoAssist. Reports are tables of information that show data organized into rows and columns for specified sort values.

To create a report, you can either expand a folder in the Content view of the WebFOCUS Home page and click Report or, from within InfoAssist, you can create a report by clicking New on the Quick Access Toolbar or Application Menu and then clicking Build a Report. Once you choose a data source, you are ready to create your content.

InfoApps are a great way to provide a large amount of information in a single page, while still remaining clear and easy to navigate.  You can add a mix of charts and reports to a single page, and provide filters to enable users to focus on the information that matters to them.

You can create maps to identify patterns in your data. Data with geographic dimensions is converted into values that can be displayed on a map, making it easy for you to visualize scenarios, illustrate hot spots, and identify potential problem areas.
There are two types of maps: Choropleth and Proportional Symbol , or bubble, maps. Choropleth maps are useful for visualizing location-based data, trends, and distributions across a geographic area. Bubble maps focus on specific points. The size of the bubble varies depending on the underlying data.

Now that we’ve created pages in our portal, let’s see how it looks.  Notice that each page is listed on the toolbar, and menus allow us to access pages in different folders.

You may notice that when you run a portal, a fixed URL is used. Anyone that has this URL can access your portal. This allows you to protect sensitive information and share it only with a specific group of users that you define.
