Video: How to Customize the Getting Started Carousel

In this video, you will learn how to configure the Getting Started carousel to point to a different workspace in your Repository. Sign in to WebFOCUS as an Administrator. In the Workspaces view, create a workspace that you want to display in place of the Getting Started carousel and populate it with content. Check the name of the new workspace in Properties. In the banner menu, click Settings and then click Administration console. In the Administration console, under Application Settings, click BI Portal. Find the Default List Repository Path setting and change the Getting_Started name to the name of your new workspace. Save your changes. Go back to the Home Page and reload your page in the browser. The top carousel changes to display the workspace you selected. Notice that the title linked to the name assigned to the workspace becomes the new title of the carousel. If you point to a non-existent workspace or replace the path with a blank space in the Default List Repository Path setting, the Getting Started carousel will not display. You can always restore the default path automatically by clearing the value assigned to this setting, saving the change, signing out and signing back in to reload the Home Page.
