Adding a Search Box to Control Objects

When you add parameterized content to a page, you can click the Quick Filter button to automatically create filter controls for those parameters. You can then right-click a drop-down list filter control and click Convert to change it to a check box control, radio button control, or a button set.

You can add a search box to a drop-down list, check box control, or radio button control to make it easier to navigate long lists of values. Select the control object and, in the Properties panel, on the Settings tab, turn on the Search option. If there are 50 or more values in the control, the Search option is enabled automatically. When you run the page, typing a text string in the search box filters the control to show values containing that string.

The following image shows a checkbox control with a search box. Typing phone in the search box filters the control to show only the parameter values that contain the text string phone.
