In App Studio, you use the Report canvas to create reports.

Using the App Studio JavaScript drill-down functionality, you can use links in a report on an HTML page to open a second chart or report with additional information in an InfoWindow, allowing you to quickly perform further data analysis within the page.

This is our source report. It will be added to the HTML page and allow us to connect to a second chart or report containing information for each value in the sort field, Business Subregion.

Parameterized content is a great way to give users access to the information that is most relevant for them. Sometimes, however, you may want to make multiple different files available for selection, such as when they use different data sources, show different fields, or use different styling. You can do that by creating a control that lists procedures or HTML files, and then using the Run Procedures/HTML From Control request option.

Video: How to Specify Styling for User Selected Output Formats

Just like you can use dynamic parameters to allow user filter selection at run time, you can use the User output format to allow users to select the output format in which to run the report, allowing them to choose whether to open it as HTML in a browser, as a PDF, as an Excel spreadsheet, and more. You can then apply different styling options to each output format to suit each one.

To enable user selection of the output format, create a report and, from the Format tab, open the Output Format menu. Under Styled report formats, select User.

Specifying Styling for User Selected Output Formats Using the User Format Menu

If the output format for a report is set to user selection, the User Format menu becomes available. You can specify different styling for each available format by expanding the User Format menu, pointing to Create new empty styling block or Copy active styling to, and selecting an output format, as shown in the following image.
