Video: How to Drag and Drop Folders and Files

In the WebFOCUS Home Page, you can easily move files and folders from one folder to another by dragging and dropping. This saves you the effort of cutting and pasting or copying and pasting, allowing you to quickly reorganize your content as needed.

You can drag and drop items in the Resources tree or the Content area. If you try to drag an item to a location where it can’t be dropped, such as the Action Bar area, a cancel symbol appears.  Otherwise, the icon for that item appears, and you are allowed to drop it in the new location. When you drop an item, a warning message appears prompting you to confirm your decision, so you do not drop items by mistake.

You can move multiple items by holding the Ctrl key while selecting them and dragging them as you would a single item. Also, when you drag and drop a single item while holding the Ctrl key, a copy of this item is created and dropped into a new location. Essentially, dragging and dropping a single item with the Ctrl key is equal to using the Copy and Paste options from the shortcut menu.
